Richard Kern

Richard Kern is going to have his show “Vintage Kern Photos from 1980 – 2009” at RENTAL New York from June 4th to July 5th.
Richard Kern (born: North Carolina, 1954) has lived and worked in New York City since 1979. In the eighties, he produced a series of short films that now are recognized as the central works of the movement now known as the Cinema of Transgression. In the 90’s he turned almost exclusively to still photography of glamour, bondage and fetish models in books such as “New York Girls,” still reflecting his unique sensibility. He has pornographic spreads for Hustler and Hustler’s Leg Show magazines.
