Wanmhope My works release my fantasy and my imagination. I shift from simple to complex works, without altering my creativity. Forms have lost any link with reality and are used in order to express my enthusiasm. I try to project the spectator within my psyche, among deeper memories and anxieties, prioritizing the sense of drama, a sense enhanced by disfigured and imaginary faces. My faces are also characterized by delirious distortions which combine recklessness and provocations I. A journey through a figure which is almost totally undone and, in those rare occasions in which it appears, reduced and deformed. I someway create my art in order to rid myself of restraints and of representations of reality and to express the supremacy of pure imagination/planning, expressing the artistic work’s ultimate purpose. In some cases, my photos can be seen as a symbol of a path of my life, of love and beauty, but also of life’s frailty. In art, you don’t need to have lots of things to see, compare, analyze. What matters is to consider it a creative game. That’s why I tend to deform images, to use old objects and to bring them back to life.
