John Ryan Solis was born in New Jersey and raised in New York. He received his BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in the spring of 2008. Solis is currently working with the multi-award winning design studio Vault49, and continues to work on his solo projects. His diverse, beautiful, and layered artworks are often romantic but sometimes have a sinister or weird tinge – women without faces, beauties with exposed innards and mutant animal/ladies.
