Untitled (Sara 3)

Using many diverse elements such as Japanese pop culture and art history, to science fiction, Chinese propaganda posters, and real life, Chris Scarborough creates work that explores the grey areas that form when cultural and contextual boundaries erode and cross paths.
Working in photography and drawing, Scarborough’s meticulously detailed images of people who have been manipulated according to the tropes of Japanese anime is an exploration of the cultural concepts and impositions of cuteness, beauty and perfection.

danielle-de-picciotto01

Danielle de Picciotto is an american artist living in Berlin, Germany. She works as a painter, illustrator, filmaker and musician.
Danielle de Picciotto beckons us irresistibly, into the lands of whimsy that flow with such soulful precision from her pen. Anything – the dissonant, the miraculous, the doomed – is possible here, but not without a price. This is the stuff of fairytales from the old school; a happy ending is by no means a given.

Charlotte Mann is a London based artist with a fresh and distinct style. Using a strict minimalist black and white palette, Mann creates detailed, life sized drawings depicting the simple complexities of everyday life. Her installations also use layers of materials such as glass and acetate to give even more depth to these storybook-esque interpretations of the world.

This is b Store London window space by Charlotte Mann.

v-draw

Your microphone is your pen, vioce is the ink.
Ze Frank made a little flash drawing tool. You don’t need a mouse but a microphone if you want to draw. A low volume tone will make the line curve counterclockwise, a medium will let it run straight and a high volume will turn the line to the right… Somehow he manged to draw this arty face and figure. You can try it out for yourself here.

alice-liddle

I came across this image Alice Liddle. I guess this is one of Trevor Brown’s latest paintings. Unlike most of his art, this piece is so calm and elegant. There’s no paraphilias, no blood and no violence. But the eyeball flowers…
If you never heard of Trevor Brown, here is his website.
