Big Family-2008A

More than any other Chinese artist, Zhang, with his huge paintings depicting family photographs taken during the Cultural Revolution, has captured the imagination of international collectors. Prices for his work have skyrocketed at auctions over the last three years. Perhaps more than any other artist in this group, Zhang Xiaogang has departed the most from his early works, and evolved the most over time. No living Chinese contemporary artists who began working after 1979, when avant-garde art was first produced here, is as acclaimed or as hot right now as Zhang Xiaogang.

b Store 01

Charlotte Mann is a London based artist with a fresh and distinct style. Using a strict minimalist black and white palette, Mann creates detailed, life sized drawings depicting the simple complexities of everyday life. Her installations also use layers of materials such as glass and acetate to give even more depth to these storybook-esque interpretations of the world.

This is b Store London window space by Charlotte Mann.
Black and white marker pen on glass, acetate and Colorama paper.
To coincide with the Peter Jensen Tina collecton on sale in store, she created this installation.

Check out her other drawings. All amazing!

v-draw

Your microphone is your pen, vioce is the ink.
Ze Frank made a little flash drawing tool. You don’t need a mouse but a microphone if you want to draw. A low volume tone will make the line curve counterclockwise, a medium will let it run straight and a high volume will turn the line to the right… Somehow he manged to draw this arty face and figure. You can try it out for yourself here.

Kattaca is Spanish Mario Ville and Carol Gamarra, who specialize in art directing shoots. Now they brought Gustav Klimt’s art to life. Check it out in the fashion section of their site.

Claudia Rogge’s photographic work is an entire scenography and symmetry in every image, something regular and yet so chaotic at the same time. This is Claudia Rogge’s mathematics in photography.
She is having her another exhibition at Galerie Voss, Düsseldorf, Germany this year.

alice-liddle

I came across this image Alice Liddle. I guess this is one of Trevor Brown’s latest paintings. Unlike most of his art, this piece is so calm and elegant. There’s no paraphilias, no blood and no violence. But the eyeball flowers…
If you never heard of Trevor Brown, here is his website.
